The more I live in the Old South (Fayetteville NC), the more I realize the North is still the best place for African Americans. This is a historical moment that will live with me forever and I\u2019m sadden that I\u2019m not in New York for this exciting event.<\/p>\n

As I said in an earlier post, David Paterson has a proven track record. Although he doesn\u2019t have the demeanor of former Governor Eliot Spitzer, with his great diplomacy skills he can carry out his ideas to the opposing party. And this is what politics is about. Negotiating.<\/p>\n

As I end this post, as bleak as it is for so many people, some things are actually getting better. Keep hope alive!<\/p>\n
