If you haven’t heard, 5th Generation cellular technology is coming, and thanks to a global grid of short-range transmitters, it will be everywhere. 5G wireless is being publicly promoted to increase cellular bandwidth for much faster data transfer and reliability, and allow implementation of the Internet of Things, a global network of smart appliances and devices that can report on our every move, from smart refrigerators that can tell you via your cell phone what food you need to buy at the grocery and act as a task organizer/communications hub for your family members, to smart toothbrushes that can create a 3D map of your mouth and send it to your dentist (or others)! This beyond Orwellian surveillance platform is being promoted, of course, for the convenience and cost savings. If you think current surveillance and electromagnetic field (EMF) pollution from cell towers, wi-fi, smart power meters, computers, cordless phones, power lines, radar, military activities, etc. is bad, you ain’t seen nothing yet!
EMF pollution has become the new cigarettes of our time, except this time, a much higher percentage of the population is exposed, most of them willingly, thanks to the convenience of wireless technologies like cell phones and wi-fi. According to the late electrophysiology experts, Dr. Bob Beck and Dr. Robert O. Becker, MD, human EMF exposure is billions of times above what it was before the mass use of wireless technologies began. Because 5G transmission uses very high frequency lower power waves, transmitters must be placed about every 500 to 600 yards, but in cities where there are more objects to block the waves, the distribution will be much denser. Keep in mind, that transmitter density is for one cell carrier! Each wireless company must install its own transmitters, and many will co-locate transmitters, so the reality is there will be hundreds of thousands, if not ultimately millions, more towers blanketing the US and the world. California alone is officially projecting 50,000 new transmitters within its borders, and the actual outcome will likely be higher.
While most municipalities ignore the health risks of current wireless technologies, even those that do raise concerns cannot legally stop the technologies, thanks to the US Telecommunications Act of 1996. That law stipulates that if a city government even considers cell towers’ health effects, the cell company can sue the city! Talk about Bizarro World backwards doublespeak!
After large numbers of firefighters experienced health problems like headaches, memory issues, confusion, and weakness, the International Association of Firefighters commissioned a study of the cell towers often placed on fire stations and found abnormal brain function in all of the firefighters examined. Fortunately because the association is a strong lobby, it was able to get cell towers removed from fire stations in California.
The wireless industries continue to fund fake science to confuse the issue of wireless health hazards, but there is abundant evidence of the risks. There are over 2,000 peer-reviewed papers on EMF and human health, 1,800 of those reviewed and summarized in the Bioinitiative Report of 2012, published by an international team of 29 concerned scientists from around the world. Predictably, the wireless industry has hired shills to discredit that report and obfuscate the overwhelming evidence of EMF hazards.
